TEMPO

Tempo sessions are lower in intensity than other rides and put a lot of emphasis on the beat and the music. Great if you are wanting that lower intensity session but still want a great workout rather than a day off….. These sessions will be recommended to you inapp if you are just starting out your journey with CicloZone or if you have been rewarded with an increase in your FTP level after your last ride. Great to maintain your fitness or just to concentrate on aerobic capacity training a tempo session is an opportunity to just enjoy the ride, enjoy the beat, enjoy the Tempo…..!

PERFORMANCE

When riding a performance ride with Ciclozone it is immediately obvious that the time spent in each zone is substantially longer than in Tempo or Challenge rides. As a Cyclist would experience on a road ride, our performance sessions are designed to emulate a road ride and the effect that has on our bodies in terms of power production. Sessions designed to work on your speed and strength endurance with a focus on increasing your FTP. Longer intervals, repeated combination climbs and longer lower paced hill climbs will all be found in the Performance Zone.

CHALLENGE

If High Intensity Interval Training is your thing then the challenge sessions will be for you. Every Short, punchy high intensity interval is followed by a guaranteed white or Blue zone interval just long enough for you to recover to do it all again and again and again…… varying the RPM changes the emphasis on the energy system required to complete the intervals and the intensity switching from high to low and back again gives your body that immense Metabolic Hit that is so popular in gyms all over the world. If fatloss and fitness are your focus then you definitely need a challenge…….

METRICS

If data is your thing and you want all of that data on screen all of the time on every ride then you can opt to take any ride in a CicloMetric format. No instructor onscreen to guide you but the metric class data remains to instruct you to be on the correct intensity at the correct pace along with extra data points such as Kcals, Averages, watts/kilo and Ciclozone output levels now replacing your on screen instructor. These sessions appeal to the real trainers amongst us who are motivated by their own results and want to analyse every detail of their ride. Great for turbo trainers, Wattbikes and anyone riding on ERG mode on any device. If data is your thing then I give you CicloMetrics
